HOLTICULTURE IN GHANA FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE
-Sponsored By : Royal Dutch Kingdom
The Archipelago project was initiated with the primary objective of promoting sustainable agriculture and horticulture practices in Ghana. As part of this initiative, collaboration with agricultural colleges was established, and extensive training was provided to over 1000 farmers across the country. To further amplify the project's impact and deepen its focus on developing the horticulture sector in Ghana, a deliberate decision was made to select 10 farmers each from the Bono and Ashanti regions, along with 10 farmers from Volta.
In continuation of the Archipelago project, a new and exciting phase has been introduced by TU DELFT. This new 9-month project, funded by the Netherlands government through RVO, will be implemented from January to September 2023. With this extension, the project aims to broaden its scope and bring transformative advancements to Ghana's horticulture industry.
